Take a Shuttle From the Festival to the Shook-Smathers House!

Take a shuttle to The Museum of Haywood County History, located at 178 Morgan Street in Clyde. Built around 1795 by Jacob Shook, a Revolutionary War veteran who settled in the area, this historic home now serves as a gateway to the rich past of Haywood County. Knowledgeable docents will be available to guide you through the museum and the Visitor Center, which features a special exhibit on the Revolutionary War. Admission to both the exhibit and the museum is free.

The Pioneer Heritage Festival will be held at Riverside Park in Canton on Saturday, September 21, 2024,
from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the area along the Pigeon River just south of Riverview Farm & Garden on
Penland Street. Visitors to the Festival can park in the parking lot down the street at Canton Middle School.
