After viewing Tom Hansell’s 50-minute documentary, After Coal, Dr. Beaver will explore the difficult journey by families attempting to build a new future in the coal fields of Eastern Kentucky and Wales. Can these regions successfully reinvent their traditions, social culture and economies in order to survive?

Tickets: $5.00, W. N. C. Historical Association members free.
